Day 33 - Zurich, Switzerland -> Walenstadt, Switzerland

Mon, July 15
50.5 Miles (1095.3 total)

Easy ride today! Flat, and almost all on bike paths, either dedicated lanes on the road or off road. Zurich was such a bike friendly city. Couldn't believe how many cyclists we saw and how well the city accommodates them. Even when there's construction, they seem to make sure there's a path for cyclists to get around them.

We left Zurich and biked around the perimeter of Lake Zurich. Just gorgeous. That really cool, cloudy blue looking water with mountains everywhere. Some jets were putting a show on over the lake when we biked by! We are just always in the right place at the right time! We also biked through a tunnel made specifically for cyclists - no cars. That was a new experience!

When we got to Waldenstadt, we split a 6 pack of ice cream cones and then met our host, Jair. Super nice guy with an incredible view from his apartment. We'll be staying with him for two days as we bike to Liechtenstein tomorrow for a magnet, then come back.
