Day 23 - Rioveggio, Italy -> La Villa, Italy

Fri, July 5

49.2 Miles (715.9 total)

No hills today! Probably the smoothest day of riding we've had yet. Good roads, mostly flat and slightly downhill, and no obstacles causing us to reroute. On our way to our B&B, we stopped for a couple hours in the city of Bologna. Barely anyone here compared to Florence and Rome, but didn't seem like there was as much to see. We saw a couple churches and an old anatomy theater and library that were pretty cool. In the main square was a giant screen and a few thousand seats for a movie festival they put on every summer, showing one movie a night. And there are two leaning towers in the city! Don't know why Italy has so many leaning towers, lol.

Then we got to our B&B, La Quercia di Mery. It's the best place we've stayed yet! AC that WORKS, good Wi-Fi, a fridge with a freezer... I wasn't expecting all this in one place until I got back home! We'll chill here the rest of the night, try and schedule couchsurfers/warmshowers, and watch the Eurocup. Looking forward to Spain vs Germany!
