After getting a little turned around at first, we made it out of Siena and headed for San Gimignano, famous for all its towers. The best gelato in the world is supposed to be there, according to Rick Steves. But the line was way too long, so we had some at the place next store with no line, still saying "world's best" on the door, and still excellent.
After that, we made our way to Gambassi Terme. More climbing today. Think I could feel the sweat drip off my pants at one point. But we had a nice long downhill into town. It's another small one with no flat streets. I got a lasagna for dinner, which was great, but still want to try it somewhere else first... This one came out a little too fast, like it was already prepared.
Excited to get to Florence tomorrow!
