Day 9 - Sabaudia, Italy -> Marino, Italy

Fri, June 21
51.5 Miles (281.7 total)

The breakfast at the hotel was the best we've had yet - a bunch of breads, cheeses, meats, and hard boiled eggs. We hit the road not long after, and had our hottest day of riding yet. We stopped at one minimart run by two brothers from Pakistan, who were super friendly and were asking us about our trip. After buying 1.5 L of water and some candy, they even gave us another 1.5 L for free! I didn't think we'd use all 3 L, but we filled up the bottles and drank the rest. At one point, Dad checked the temperature, and it was 98°. We went through so much water. Less than 3 miles away from our next hotel, we stopped at a Conad supermarket and split a couple cups of ice cream.

The bed and breakfast was pretty difficult to find - no signs or anything. We must have been looking for 20 minutes and asking strangers on the street where the address was. We finally found it and the host was very kind, but the room has only a fan and no AC... Doesn't bode well for a goodnight's sleep.

It's been really hazy the last three days. The sky has just been white - can't see the hills or across the sea. Kinda strange.

But can't wait for Rome tomorrow!
