Day 7 - Pulaski, NY -> Watertown, NY

Sat, July 1
48 Miles (361.6 total)

Left early from the campsite. Neither of us slept well, but we never do camping. The morning was nice and quiet though, and the breeze through the trees was really peaceful. We had another good, dry day of riding today, with a nice headwind pushing us forward. Whole lotta nothing to see though. Farm land, mobile homes, but quiet roads in great condition. We stopped at a store and a guy from the campsite we talked to the previous night said hello because he recognized us. Always cool bumping into people again.
We have a hotel in Watertown, and we're taking a rest day tomorrow. We're both excited to give our butts a break from the bike for a day. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, and that might have been the only green we've eaten this trip yet, apart from green Skittles and Mike and Ikes. We do have a piece of fruit each day mid-ride, but that's about it. We got the unlimited soup, salad, bread sticks, and I had two salads and four soups. We left stuffed and ready to not move for the rest of the night.

Forgot to mention yesterday - it was the first day we could smell the smoke from Canada. Always hard to believe how much smoke there is.
