Day 11 - Brockville, Ontario -> Ingleside, Ontario

Wedn, July 5
51.5 Miles (503.1 total)

Another good morning! Pretty clear skies and sunshine. But we got eaten by mosquitos the moment we stepped out of our tents. It was the fastest we packed up and left in a long time. A heat advisory is in effect for the next couple days, so we left early, hoping we could beat it. And we made great time again! The wind has been with us the last couple days, and it's helped out a ton. I remember previous trips fighting the wind, shifting into the lowest gear on a flat surface, and having to pedal downhill. But so far, it's been at our backs and helping us out. On the way was Upper Canada Village, a popular tourist spot where it looks like how it did in the 1800's, and employees act out how they lived. We stopped briefly without going in, and saw the same bicycle tourer, Alay, we saw at the campground the previous night. Then we made our way to the next campground after getting lunch, dinner, and breakfast at the store. The campsite is located on a string of islands outside of town. We'll be riding through the rest of them tomorrow.
